Dr. Erik M. Shipley is a dedicated brain specialist at Brain Health Hawaii, where he leverages his psychiatric expertise to promote holistic well-being. In addition to his work with Brain Health Hawaii, he serves at the Kahala Clinic for Children and Family, delivering comprehensive care across diverse settings.
Dr. Shipley earned his Doctorate of Medicine from St. George’s University School of Medicine and completed his psychiatry residency at the University of Illinois, where he received the Commonwealth Award and Patient Services Award. He furthered his training with a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at the University of Hawaii.
Experienced in both outpatient and inpatient psychiatry, Dr. Shipley addresses a wide range of conditions, including depression, bipolar disorders, anxiety, trauma, and more. By incorporating advanced brain health techniques, he fosters enduring outcomes, enhancing patients’ quality of life with a compassionate, whole-person approach.
Fluent in English and Japanese, Dr. Shipley enjoys rock climbing, soccer, and spending time with family while giving back to his community by helping neighbors with housework, embodying his commitment to balance and connection.
