Brain Health Hawaii: Assessment & Personalized Care for Anxiety

A Whole-Person, Brain-Body Approach to Healing

Combatting anxiety can be difficult—but healing is possible when treatment targets the root cause. At Brain Health Hawaii, we use a comprehensive, whole-person approach that integrates advanced brain imaging with personalized care. Our goal is to restore balance in brain function and support long-term emotional and physical well-being.

Understanding Anxiety

Anxiety is more than just excessive worry—it's a reflection of how the brain is functioning. When certain regions of the brain—especially those involved in sensory processing, decision-making, and emotional regulation—become overactive or disorganized, the result is a brain stuck in overdrive.

This leads to difficulties with filtering information, letting go of intrusive thoughts, and regulating emotions. The brain may take in too much sensory input, without the internal capacity to manage it efficiently, leaving individuals feeling overwhelmed and vulnerable to environmental triggers.

Anxiety and depression often go hand-in-hand, sharing overlapping networks in the frontal and prefrontal cortex. When these regions aren’t communicating well, the brain struggles to shift out of a state of worry or indecision. Over time, this inefficient communication pattern reinforces anxious thought loops, keeping the brain in a prolonged state of stress.

Our Assessment Process

We start with a comprehensive Brain-Body Health Assessment, which includes:

  • Brain mapping with spectral analysis to measure the electrical rhythms and organization in the brain.

  • Functional evaluations to assess sleep, cognition, focus, and emotional regulation.

  • Lifestyle and health assessments to identify contributing factors such as sleep disruption.

By identifying where and how brain cells are dysregulated, we can pinpoint the neurological root of anxiety symptoms.

Personalized Treatment for Brain Balance

Our approach is designed to rebalance brain activity and support brain-body regulation.

Synchronizing and strengthening brain activity can reduce symptoms, and restore calm and clarity.

Success Story Spotlight

After the first two weeks, I noticed the irritability definitely slightly going down. I noticed my sleep was getting better, not the foggy feeling that I was getting in the morning. Within about four week time period, I was more energetic and able to multitask again.
